Hardly two years after his first work »JGTHM - Juhr Gait Tu Hewi Mettäl«, which evoked great interest, Till Burgwächter reports back with »Schmerztöter« - "Killer Of Pain". In opposition to "JGTHM" "Killer Of Pain" isn't indeed a pseudo-dictionary, but gives in long and short glosses as well as in satiric texts an amusing look at the Heavy Metal-szene.

Heavy Metal-fans can't read? Heavy Metal-fans dont't laugh about themselves? Metal-fans are drinking the whole day beer? O.K., the last matter is right, but with his book »JGTHM - Juhr Gait Tu Hewi Mettäl« the reporter and author Till Burgwächter refuted some clichés.

The present volume presents even more bands and styles and spreads even more chaotic theories. Till Burgwächter explains how the Metal-world really is. At least from his point of view. What is it about the forced behaviour of old men who make themselves lose their last bit of dignity for a so-called "re-union"? Would Joey DeMaio recognizes Richard Wagner if he stand close to him and why does the former so dignified Metal-god now go on trial before a court? Questions that this book doesn't answer to, but at least, it makes fun of it. Very dignified, certainly.

"Killer Of Pain" is forged on an open flame in the law of Heavy Metal und is disposed to evil jokes, somestimes even to political incorrectness. But that doesn't matter, for who can stand on a SLAYER concert in the first rank squalling "Angel Of Death", will survive this.

Responsible for the great cover is Jan Oidium, who first made reputation as a drawer of Hammerfall- and Gamma Ray-comics.
