There is no doubt that the participation of EHC Eisbären Berlin - EHC Eisbears Berlin in the DEL-final in 1997/98 marks the greatest success in club-history since the incorporation to the Icehockey-Bundesliga in 1990. Proceeded in cooperation with Michael Sauer, one of Germans highest reputed icehockey-photographers (among other things icehockey-annals), the generously lay-outed book follows minutely the way of the cracks from "Welblechpalast" from the first to the last playing-day. Beyond, it takes a forward look: How will the following season come off and will the two new players succeed at the first go-off?

The EHC is "cult", far over the border of the district Höhenschönhausen and the city of Berlin the pugnacious heraldic animal, the icebear, developed a symbol for firstclass sports and great icehockey-parties! In the running season 140.000 thousend fans (20 of 30 home-playings were sold out) payed for firering the Icebears. With over 2.000 thousend selled permanent-tickets the 15 million-etat of the season 1998/99 is also certain. So, it is allowd to dream: of the German championship and an excellent result at the premiere in the European hockey-league...
