Stefan Pürner

In his real life, author Stefan Pürner works as a lawyer in Bad Godesberg as well as dedicating his time to a charitable foundation dealing with questions of inernational law. Furthermore, he teaches law at a university in Nuremberg. During his time as a university student, he was already taking his first steps to become an author (also working as a journalist). After his degree, he made himself a name as a highly specified author in the field of Eastern European law. He is the co-author of a well-known handbook on economy and law in Eastern Europe.

In spring 2006, Pürner published his first anthology of short stories via Celero Publishing, a small company dedicated to German Science Fiction. The name of the book: »Cloned: 12 baffling Short Stories«. In a very entertaining way Pürner ask questions about the psychological, social and legal implications of modern biotechnology. Some of the 12 short stories do indeed have musical references, for example, the music industry discovers a whole new perspective on exploiting subsidiary rights through cloning deceased rock stars. The digitally stored brain of George Harrison is foreced to think twice about composing further Beatles material.
