1956

born the month Elvis recorded his greatest hit "Don´t Be Cruel / Hound Dog" that sold 5 million copies.

1962

went to school in the town of Lübeck close to Hamburg where the Beatles, at the time, were honing their skills in the Star Club on the infamous Reeperbahn.

As child a great Beatles-Fan, later influenced by hippie combos like Jefferson Airplane, Hendrix und Byrds. Service. First concert: Golden Earring.

Later an avid fan of wild rock bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath und Led Zeppelin.

1977

finishes school (listening a lot to Lynyrd Skynyrd).

1978

many travels, works construction to finance the international trips.

1979-1980

runs the record shop "music corner" in Lübeck, Germany.

1980

moves to Berlin. Studies journalism, amerikanistics und theatrical science. Witnesses the last ever concert of Led Zeppelin, July 12th 1980 at the Berlin Eissporthalle.

Lots of jobs as stage hand at the club "Quartier Latin" (among others for Accept, Hermann Brood, Roger Chapman etc.).

1985

finishes examens at college.

from 1985

starts to write as a free lance music journalist. Interviewed Nirvana, Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Rammstein, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N´Roses, Bon Jovi, Metallica and countless othter rock stars. Writes for music magazines, daily news papers, news magazines among others like Der Spiegel, Focus, Playboy and MusikWoche.

Furthermore works as music consultant, public relation consultant and expert on the german music scene in general and being very close to the Berlin scene.
